It all started when Jessica approached me and asked if I could create a screensaver that would show one of her drawings. Of course I can dear, I said. Bring me one of your drawings and I will see what I can do.
Here we have Jessica's MasterPiece drawing that I scanned into my computer. Using a paint program we can see Jessica's heart, Shrek, Fiona and Donkey standing on a bridge over the dragon next to the giant castle.
Now that Jessica's drawing is scanned in I continued to load a paint program that allows me to slice the image how I see fit. Now Jessica wanted me to separate the heart, castle and Shrek and Fiona so that we can animate each individually when needed.
Jessica wasn't too sure where to go from here. So she asked if I could display the title, "Shrek and Fiona by Jessica" for a few seconds and then have it fade away. She also wanted her hearts to be positioned all about the screen. As an added bonus I applied a rotation/scaling and fading effect to each heart. The giant castle sits in the background with a slight rotation effect. Finally, we have Shrek and Fiona positioned in the center of the screensaver. Click here to download the final results.
